Your Safety is Health
Before surgery, a complete medical investigation is necessary, which includes diagnostic tests.
Part of this investigation includes:
- Complete medical history, illnesses, previous surgeries and presence or absence of any complications;
- Existence of some type of allergy and type of reaction to previous anesthesia;
- Regularly used medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, alcohol, smoking and other drugs;
- Oral contraceptives;
Surgical recommendations are very important, such as:
- Quit smoking;
- Stop certain medications that could increase the risk of bleeding;
- How will the surgery be performed? Where?
On the day of surgery, don't forget to fast:
- Do not ingest food, drinks or any liquids.
Correctly following post-operative measures is essential for the success of your surgery. Also remember to follow the recommendations regarding dressings at home and do not expose yourself to the sun.
