Become a Member

To join the SBCP, the interested party must be a doctor with a two-year specialization in general surgery, three years of plastic surgery in a service accredited by the SBCP and/or MEC, take and pass a written and oral exam, to become a specialist member of the SBCP. The Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery has its national headquarters in São Paulo and regional offices in 21 capitals across the country.

INTERNATIONAL MEMBER

Category for foreigners who wish to belong to SBCP.

  • Professionals with an unblemished reputation, residing abroad, admitted by the SBCP Deliberative Council.
    Upon proposal presented by the members of the National Board, or by 05 (five) Full Members.
  • The candidate for Corresponding Member must also prove, through documentation provided by an official medical entity in the place where he carries out his activities, his ethical and professional stance.

ASPIRING MEMBER

Initial modality for doctors who decide to participate in this illustrious society with 75 years of tradition.

Only doctors duly registered with the Regional Council of Medicine and who have completed at least 02 (two) years of residency in General Surgery in a service accredited by the MEC or at least 02 (two) complete years of specialization in General Surgery in a service accredited by the Brazilian College of Surgeons or have the title of Specialist in General Surgery duly registered in the CRM.

Aspiring Members are:

· Resident Doctors Accredited Service of SBCP.

· Doctors holding a Medical Residency Completion Title in Plastic Surgery, issued by the Ministry of Education (MEC), although not holding a Specialist Title in Plastic Surgery (SBCP/AMB), when duly holding an R.Q.E. (Specialist Qualification Register).

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Completed medical residency in a service accredited by the SBCP, already aspiring to be a member and who proved their knowledge through an exam administered by the SPCP.

Doctors with a residency in plastic surgery who practice the specialty, are registered in Plastic Surgery with the CRM and want to join the SBCP must pass the exam to obtain the title.

TITULAR MEMBER

A higher degree within SBCP, where you already have some experience within the class.

• Be an Associate with at least 2 (two) years of passing the SBCP exam, remaining in the category.

• Obtain approval in scientific work or equivalent, in a specific exam, formulated and applied by SBCP.
